Bannatynes' Jordan Creed from Norwich kept up his 100% record with his fourth straight Group 1 win in the latest Norfolk Junior Squash Grand Prix tournament held at the Fakenham and Reepham squash clubs on April 18.
Jordan won a hard fought battle against Fakenham's Adam Sinkins to top Group 1 after Adam had had a good victory over East Anglia 's Alex Williams for a place in the final. Alex finished third overall with Connor Doy (Fakenham) fourth and two East Anglia juniors Nathan Taylor and Jamie Foyster fifth and sixth.
In Group 2, Will Collet (Comberton) won the group beating Fakenham's Oli Bacon-Hilton who came second and sisters Sophie and Jenny Hodges sisters (Reepham) third and fourth.
Group 3 saw some really good close matches with another Comberton player, Joseph Weavers, just edging out Broadland's Will Henden in a final which went to five sets. Other places went to Robert Davis, Andrew Black, Robby Coates, Drew Butchart, Martin Jolly and Scott Drewery.
The final three groups had five in each, playing a round robin basis which saw Sam Henden win Group 4 ahead of Jackson Yaxley, Brandon Fairbrother, Jack Andrews and a first Grand Prix for Fakenham's Tom Roy.
Group 5 was won by Jesse Baker who served well all day, to pip four more Fakenham players Oli Hall, Craig Smith, Kieran Dodman and Jade Spalding.
Group 6 saw some of the younger players with Harleston's Callen Andrews coming out on top, Bradley Nobbs second followed by King's Lynn's Claire Jolly, nine-year-old Charlie Simpson who played some great shots and Joshua Hall from Oasis who put in a great effort in his first ever Grand Prix.
The next Grand Prix is on May 16 at Diss and Harleston squash clubs. More details and an application form on the coming events page.
