The combined Bannatynes and Cromer team have secured the title in Division 1 of the Norfolk Junior Squash League, while Fakenham produced a hat-trick of successes by winning the Division 2, 3 and 4 titles and all without losing a single match, showing their real strength in depth.
Bannatynes and Cromer team won the top title with a comprehensive 4-0 victory against a severely weakened East Anglia Tennis & Squash Club team in Norwich on June 14.
Alex Foster at No 1 beat Tom Morris 3-0 in the closest contest of the day, a match full of skill and well-executed, inventive shots from both players. Jordan Creed at No 2 overcame a spirited and fast-improving Alex Williams, also 3-0. Both players were full of running in a hard-fought contest.
Laurie Lacey-Hastings at No 3 had too much experience and power to secure a 3-0 win against Jamie Foyster for EATSC who was making his League 1 debut, as was Harry Fowler at No 4, beaten 3-0 by Alex Oliver who produced a number of well-placed shots.
