Funding has been secured to enable eligible participants to complete the UKCC Level 1 Squash Coaching Course at Broadland Sports Club for free.
The Level 1 course is being run at Broadland in East Norfolk on April 25 and May 23 and places are still available.
A Level 1 squash coaching qualification will allow you to conduct mini-squash sessions in any sports hall, school hall or squash venue, and to assist a Level 2 coach with squash coaching lessons. It is also a requirement before being able to move on to a higher coaching qualification.
The funding is being made available via the East Links: Leading The Field project and applicants must be in employment for at least 8 hours per week and must not be in further or higher education
The funding the potential coaches will be provided is for 100% of the costs. They would pay for their places upfront and receive 50% back once the course is started, and the final 50% when the course is completed.
