Fakenham Squash Club hosted the latest Norfolk Junior Squash Grand Prix on Sunday 20th May, where the host Club were well represented with 12 out of the 27 players competing. In Group 1 they filled 3 of the top 4 places, and also had newcomer Evan Lagrange competing for the lower positions. The improving Alex Hagag beat top seed Liam Bond 3-1 to win the group to give the home Club their first group win of the day.
Closest match in the group was Jasmine Thirst’s gutsy 3-2 win over Harry Cox, recovering from 0-2 down to enable her to finish a very good fifth. The first Norfolk Junior Squash Grand Prix of 2018 took place at Harleston on Sunday 22nd April and contained players from all round the county, including an impressive 8 players playing their first ever Grand Prix event.
