Broadland Christmas Tournament

Broadland sports club recently hosted a Christmas tournament which had a good turnout of keen juniors who found motivation to play squash no matter how close to Christmas day it happened to be. In group one, there was some highly competitive matches, all played out in a positive fashion, as we would expect considering the time of year. ​

​Isaac Allsop played training partner Luke Gannon early in the day and just edged a tight 3 – 2 victory, 11/1, 11/7, 0/11, 8/11, 11/8. Luke had another long battle to come later in the day against another Allsop. This time he came out on top after a close 3 – 2 against Josh Allsop. The final results were:

In group 2, this consisted of 7 juniors, playing throughout the day in matches which once again were all competitive and played in a positive spirit. There were some tight matches early in the day with Matthew Wiggins just being edged out by Abi Cramer in a close 3 games. Matthew was then able to push on to win his next match, against Millie Cunningham, 11/9 in the third. A notable mention must go to Jasmine Thirst who went through the whole day without dropping a game. The final results were:
